Padstow is a great place to visit and stay in for most of the year, but the summer is the most popular time for us. There’s a real thirst for the Padstow sunshine and sea air, and with that come a lot of new events and great things to do in Padstow.
Aside from the walks, bars, restaurants, and art activities you can do, there are some great summer events that we wanted to tell you about.
So, if you’re not booked… then get booked now. The summer of 2019 is going to be another belter!
Padstow Tasting Rooms
Padstow Brewing Co. started brewing here in 2013 and was formed by a husband and wife team who had no previous experience of brewing before they moved here. That said, they learned from the best and now produce some well-respected beer right here in Padstow.
They also run some great events. Ever fancied watching the entire brewing process from start to finish? Or maybe you wanted to visit a brewery and try and few beers? Both are an option from the Padstow Brewing Co. events calendar and highly recommend.

Padstock Festival
Like your live music and outside festivals? Padstock is the one for you. Run by the Padstow Brewing Co., this event is an action-packed afternoon and evening of live music, and fabulous food and drinks, and it’s all in aid of the National Lobster Hatchery. (Marine conservation, for the uninitiated!)
It’s on the 24th August 2019 and you’ll find some fantastic atmosphere, food, and drink awaiting you. When the sun shines here, it’s one of those special moments you’ll treasure.

Coffee Cocktail Masterclass
Rick Stein’s famous stamp on our region brings so many delights to your stay in Padstow. There are plenty of choices, from his array of fabulous food to the great cocktails and drinks at his Ruby’s Bar where they serve some of his favourite drinks.
Coffee cocktails have to be tried at least once (or maybe more if you get hooked) so why not learn from the best and see Dan Fellows, World Coffee in Good Spirits Champion 2018 and Head of Wholesale at Origin Coffee Roasters, show you how it’s done?
There are two masterclasses on 17th September and 8th October 2019.
Book on the masterclasses here.
Padstow Wine Company Pop-ups
The Padstow Wine Company are currently working on a new venue in Wadebridge at right at the end of the Camel trail. The opening has been slightly delayed although there’s a lot to suggest this will be worth the wait.
For now though, you can find them popping-up at Graze Tapas, their neighbour on the First Floor at Saltbox. Join them for gin, wine, and champagne during August 2019 in this cute little pop-up.

Ann Cleeves – Literary Lunch
Padstow Booksellers put on some great events down here in Padstow and have hosted some great introductions and experiences with authors.
On 4th September 2019, you can join Ann Cleeves, who will be talking about her new book The Long Call, a murder thriller set in the north of Devon.
Along with the insightful talk from Ann about her new series, you’ll also get a copy of her new book, a glass of Prosecco on arrival, and lunch St. Petroc’s Bistro!
